Meal Expenses.

For the calendar year 2007, a "per diem" amount of $35 may be claimed for overnight traveler's meal expenses without receipts. If not using the per diem claim for daily meals, receipts are required. Guidelines for meals are $10 for breakfast, $10 for lunch, and $15 for dinner.

For the calendar year 2008, the "per diem" amount is $45. Guidelines for meals are $10 for breakfast, $15 for lunch and $20 for dinner.

When meals are used for entertainment, a business purpose, as well as identification of the individuals being entertained is required.
